Here you will find a select group of shorts,
texts stories, and other things which give a hint more into the world of FLYING
GLORY AND THE HOUNDS OF GLORY. We will add to this as we go along.
We may even show some of our earlier, attempts on the
story, abandoned for various reasons.
- In 2004, we wondered how Flying Glory and the Hounds of Glory might translate to an animated series. If you're curious what we were trying, you can look at a draft of the pilot here -
enough has fundamentally changed that we couldn't do anything remotely close to this now, primarily current characters now assuming some of the roles that were in this script in the comic, which it would then also make sense for them to be doing the same in the series. In addition, see how we changed the storyline of Issue 3 to fit the half-hour animation format. We very much would still like to bring this project to life in alternate media someday! Please note: this is a 2MB file.
- "Skipping a Beat" -
is a short prose story that shows events of Issue 6 from Cassie
Sanderson's perspective before she comes running up to Flying Glory
with her cell phone on page 2 of the issue. It's also an introduction
and revelation to another key player in Cassie's life.
- We're bringing you some more Flying Glory and the Hounds of
Glory lyrics in the form of a "visual video" presentation. Flying Glory
and the Hounds of Glory originally began life as a movie musical, which
we gave up after several years realizing that the world of this
characters was too rich to be done justice in a film... and ultimate
led to the launch of the webcomic. Many of the film's songs, including
"Break the Cage" (Issue 1) and "When Tomorrow Comes" (Issue 9) have
since become included. However, there are a couple still on the cutting
room floor, as it were, and this is one of them. This song is called "Stand Up," lyrics interwoven with alternate or compeltely deleted art from the first 9 issues! Enjoy!
- Enjoy some Flying Glory and the Hounds of Glory lyrics in the form of a
"visual video" (ok, that's a little redundant, but since most of the lyrics
appear as the action happens -- in concerts, whatever -- we needed a catchy
title). This one is called "You Are My Hero," and
contains spoilers for up through Issue #6. Deisgned to celebrate our
fifth online anniversary in 2006!
- To get a glimpse at what life was like for Debra's grandmother
Elsie during World War Two, take a look at this newspaper cliping from 1945
entitled FLYING GLORY
WELCOMES OUR MEN BACK FROM WAR. (Kevin wrote up and drew the
accompanying 'photo' back when Kevin was attempting to created a 'golden age'
style comic book entitled Flying Glory. It still has worth in universe that
makes up our story now).
- In the very beginning, we wanted to do a simple black and white 'ashcan'
for FLYING GLORY AND THE HOUNDS OF GLORY but later discarded the idea because
we felt it wasn't the best introducton to the character due to size
limitations. Clike HERE
to see the original ashcan script we developed.

to hear coverage of Flying Glory and the Hounds of Glory's first OUTDOOR PERFOMANCE.
- "Suite for
Strings" - is a short prose story that gives us a glimpse into the
lives of one of our more obscure supporting characters, Cassie
Sanderson.
- Lucy Alvarez -- also known as guitarist and band lyricist
Shroud -- has a quiet, brooding mind.

- SECRET
SONGBOOK - Just like for any music album, songs have been written for
FLYING GLORY AND THE GLORY HOUNDS that have been cut due to plot
changes or changes in mood and direction. Take a glimpse in our SECRET SONGBOOK and see
what (for now) has been left unused.
