Debra Clay's the only grandchild of Elsie Carmichael
Stokes, the woman who was Flying Glory of the World War II era.
Her divorced parents are Annie Stokes-Clay, a lawyer, and her father Trevor Clay is a successful lawyer in New York.
Debra knew of her grandmother's secret life, but only in the stories told to her as a child, they were nothing more then fairy tales.
Flying Glory's powers had never manifested themselves in her mother, so it came as a total surprise and shock to everyone when Debra began flying during a high school talent show.
Debra was a member of a rock and looked forward to being a famous singer. With her new found powers she hoped to sky rocket to stardom. But her grandmother Elsie hopes she can guide the young new Flying Glory to use her powers with the proper responsibility. The question is, will she succeed.
Debra didn't take well to the idea of training at first, feeling that she could do it all. After a chance of a lifetime to record a solo duet with the famous singer Swordes goes badly, Debra becomes more receptive to her grandmother's advice... until some of the more debated parts of her grandmother's legacy start to surface.
