Commands the halls and calls the shots. His word can mean the difference between being locked away and forgiveness for a transgression.

But this is all a lie...

THE "REAL" SKINNY: LIONEL ARTHUR

Principal of the high school, and longtime friend of Cyrus Mulroney. Though he has a position of power, Lionel is a wimp easily pushed around by the school board... or whoever else might wish to give him a shove. He particularly fears bad press.

However, Lionel does have some sense about him. To meet the demands he sensed of those demanding his attention, Lionel came up with the idea of the high school band battle as a school fundraiser and to get attention for the school's fine arts and fashion programs. That performance did so well Lionel decided to follow up with a fashion show. He introduced Debra Clay and Krystal Wexler in hopes of encouraging Flying Glory and the Hounds of Glory to provide the entertainment, a meeting that resulted in the addition of Aura to the band (and unfortunately, a destruction of part of the school as well, which he wasn't as well prepared for and did not go over well). He also invited his longtime friend Cyrus Mulroney hoping Cyrus would find a way to capitalize on the band that might ultimately bring more attention to Commander USA High School's wealth of talent; while the band has benefited, not much attention has of yet been drawn to their high school which is a source of frustration for Lionel.

Now Lionel has to struggle with balancing the existence of these new superstars in his midst, when Commander USA High School is not accustomed to dealing with these issues.
