WHO I REALLY AM

The crowd cheers wildly every night

Its power leaves me energized

Ready to fight the long good fight

But after, when the battle's won

Victory fades, and I wonder

Who exactly I have become

CHORUS:

Waking at the dawn of day

The mirror shows a face few others see

Revealing the woman behind the mask

And I see who I really am

Not the champion they seek in me

Alarm bells ring across the town

Calling me to the real world stage

Another crime to take on down

When it's over, everyone cheers

The press goes wild, I've saved the day

For now I have calmed all their fears

CHORUS

I am who I really am

But as myself, they don't think twice

They look to find a hero

And with the role, there comes a price

Yet I don't mind the cost

'Cause feeling needed will suffice

Who I really am doesn't really matter... right?
